Through the analysis and interpretation of data collected over the last 6 months, we have been creating an interactive installation to convey the story of Ramayana. The area of projection mapping and interactive installations has seen a growing interest over the past decade.

We combined art and technology for the purpose of information visualization for better understanding about the story. This project has taken the form of the pop up book to create an immersing narrative.

The book, entitled, This time for Sita, Sita being the name of our protagonist a warrior wife , who portrays her life path through a feminist perspective. We utilized a variety of technologies to achieve functionality including laser cutter, circuit explore, RFID tags and lots of research.

The book is divided into two parts, each book consists of 6 pages featuring a pop-up mechanism with graphics mapped on the pop ups through projection mapping. The goal of our research was to engage the audience in the story, Our research techniques and user testing refined the construction of our book and the projections.
